Une \u00e9tape importante pour la Suisse et la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de m\u00e9decine dentaire<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Apr\u00e8s 36 ans, le congr\u00e8s annuel de l'Association internationale des \u00e9tudiants en m\u00e9decine dentaire<\/a> (IADS) est revenu en Suisse \u2013 et B\u00e2le est devenue, du 30 ao\u00fbt au 3 septembre, le centre mondial des \u00e9tudiants en m\u00e9decine dentaire. Environ 130 participants venus de plus de 40 pays se sont r\u00e9unis sous la devise \u00ab Tech-Driven Smiles : Dentistry in the Digital Age \u00bb pour d\u00e9couvrir les derni\u00e8res avanc\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de science, de technologie et de pratique.<\/p>\n

La science rencontre l'innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Au c\u0153ur du programme figuraient dix ateliers pratiques et six conf\u00e9rences anim\u00e9es par des intervenants renomm\u00e9s venus de Berne, Zurich, B\u00e2le et Lausanne. Les th\u00e8mes abord\u00e9s allaient des innovations num\u00e9riques \u00e0 l'importance des principes fondamentaux \u00e0 l'\u00e8re num\u00e9rique. Les \u00e9tudiants ont ainsi eu l'occasion unique d'approfondir leurs connaissances pratiques et d'\u00e9changer avec des experts de premier plan.<\/p>\n

Contribution scientifique de la SSP<\/strong><\/p>\n

La contribution de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 suisse de parodontologie (SSP) a constitu\u00e9 un temps fort particulier du programme scientifique. Gr\u00e2ce au soutien de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, les \u00e9tudiants ont pu b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier \u00e0 plusieurs reprises de l'expertise en parodontologie.<\/p>\n

Excursions et \u00e9changes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Outre le programme scientifique, le congr\u00e8s a offert un aper\u00e7u pr\u00e9cieux de l'industrie dentaire suisse.
Des visites guid\u00e9es chez Geistlich et dans l'usine de production Straumann ont permis aux participants de d\u00e9couvrir les coulisses de ces entreprises. Mais les \u00e9changes sociaux n'ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 en reste, car apr\u00e8s tout, le congr\u00e8s est un \u00e9v\u00e9nement organis\u00e9 par des \u00e9tudiants, pour des \u00e9tudiants. De la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d'ouverture festive \u00e0 la soir\u00e9e pyjama en passant par le gala de cl\u00f4ture, les \u00e9changes interculturels ont \u00e9t\u00e9 v\u00e9cus et c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9s. Particuli\u00e8rement r\u00e9jouissant : la SSP \u00e9tait \u00e9galement repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 la soir\u00e9e pyjama et a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 entrer en contact direct avec les \u00e9tudiants.<\/p>\n

Un moment historique pour la Suisse<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ce congr\u00e8s a marqu\u00e9 un tournant \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9gards : avec Alexander Fuchs, un Suisse si\u00e8ge \u00e0 nouveau au comit\u00e9 directeur de l'IADS pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis des ann\u00e9es. De plus, la toute jeune Swiss Dental Students Association (SDSA), fond\u00e9e en 2023, a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 organiser en tr\u00e8s peu de temps l'un des plus grands congr\u00e8s internationaux d'\u00e9tudiants en m\u00e9decine dentaire.<\/p>\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n

Avec le 72e congr\u00e8s annuel de l'IADS, la Suisse a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re impressionnante qu'elle n'est pas seulement le si\u00e8ge historique de l'IADS, mais aussi un acteur actif dans la construction de l'avenir de la m\u00e9decine dentaire. Pour les quelque 130 participants, B\u00e2le 2024 n'a pas seulement \u00e9t\u00e9 un voyage dans l'avenir num\u00e9rique de la m\u00e9decine dentaire, mais aussi un lieu o\u00f9 se sont nou\u00e9es de nouvelles amiti\u00e9s, o\u00f9 se sont cr\u00e9\u00e9s des r\u00e9seaux mondiaux et o\u00f9 s'est d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e une communaut\u00e9 \u00e9tudiante dynamique.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
